Geelong:

Governor Richard Burke gave the town the name Geelong in 1837, and the town was surveyed the following year. Wool has been the primary export from Geelong. As a port and producer of fine wool, the Western District and surrounding region of Geelong have long been important. It is estimated that there are still many massive wool stores dotting the waterfront of Geelong.

For certain Melbourne workers, the affordability of Geelong's accommodation makes it a viable option for commuters to the city centre. Also, the Bellarine Peninsula, Torquay, Apollo Bay, Lorne, and the 'Great Ocean Road' are all easily accessible from here, as is the Bellarine Peninsula itself. During the late 1840s, churches and schools were built, and local industries like flour mills, tallow works, and vineyards were founded.

Large construction lots and the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea with grapefruits and the scent of wooden jetties wafting through the mild sea spray lured many people to Geelong in the summer.

Oak, Grapefruit, & Sea Spray:

Infused with the strong citrus scent of oranges, this is a fresh and revitalising aroma. Bergamot and lemon round out the top notes, with jasmine and rose in the middle and a rosewood, musk, and vanilla base finish.

Top Notes: Blood Orange, Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit, Lime

Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Neroli, Sea Spray, Oakmoss

Base Notes: Rosewood, Musk, Vanilla, Patchouli, Amber
